Stenosis: Wait and Monitor?

Over time, a tight valve may remain harmless or it may worsen and need treatment. Anyone with a valve condition should stay up-to-date with regular check ups to monitor the size and function of the heart and any symptoms that could be related.

Report any noticeable symptoms including fatigue, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, lightheadedness and even palpitations.

It's also important to note that some people never develop noticeable symptoms. Although symptoms are important to monitor, they are not the only important factor. A faulty valve may need treatment with or without noticeable symptoms.
